Lauren was born and raised in Indiana as one of three children of a PGA golf professional. Her two sisters, brother and Lauren all received Division 1 full golf scholarships. Lauren attended Michigan State University as a student-athlete in golf. She is a 3-time Indiana State Golf Champion and was ranked 10th in the world in 2001.

Mastered Network Implementation Engineering & QA Engineering for Verizon, Frontier Communication, CenturyLink, and Lumen for 16 years all over the country.

Lauren moved to Florida with her fiancé, Gary Chappell, and their son, Spencer. Lauren is a 3-time Club Champion at Crown Colony Country Club in Fort Myers. When they are not working, they enjoy golfing, boating, and spending time with their son and two dogs, Jack (Jack Russell) and Deuce (Smooth Fox Terrier).
